ARTIST CARD is basically a card associated by an organization. It represents your identity as an actor, it also represents you a member of that organization from which you are associated with.

Who needs an Artist Card?


This card is not something which you must have to work in the industry or even to get work. Most of the production houses doesn’t demand it. But in recent times few production houses have made it mandatory for an artist to have an Artist Card from a reputed organization in order to work or sign the agreement. What are the eligibility criteria to get an Artist Card?


• Proof of successful completion of a minimum of 1-year training/diploma/degree etc. (Original & photocopy) along with other necessary documents mentioned in the application form.
OR
• Proof of work in the form of DVD showreel or links.
OR
• For Freshers -Letter of employment from a production house/channel for a significant character in a film/TV show or an on-camera audition in CINTAA’s office.
• Any applicant may be called for an Interview/ audition at CINTAA office, if he/she is unable to fulfill the above criterions or if required by the scrutiny committee.

How much does it cost to get an Artist Card?

A Artist Card can range between Rs2,000 to Rs35,000. It varies from Association to Association. There are lots of Associations that provide Artist Card at different costs. As per CINTA they Charge as following-

Rs.10,000- First year work-permit.
Rs.10,000- Second year work-permit.
Rs.10,000+one time members welfare fund of Rs.500 and subscription fees of Rs.1200 -
3rd year i.e. Regular membership Entrance fees
Rs.1200- From 4th year onwards

  3. Permanent Address Proof (Xerox Copy of any one of these: Electricity Bill/Aadhar Card/Passport)
  4. ID Proof (Xerox copy of any one of these: Pan Card/ Passport /Aadhar Card)
  5. Two (2) Passport Size Photos
